In this rubric, I will discuss the main events of the play. -

This is an important moment because this is what will make Macbeth and his wife decide to kill their monarch to take his place. This is also when Macbeth became ambitious and when he learns that Banquo's heirs will be king after him and not his children.
When the two generals of King Duncan encounter the weird sisters, they were just comming back from a battle against a rebellion. They were going throught a vast plain when the witches appeared and disapeared.
After this event, Banquo and Macbeth became more suspitious between each other, which will lead to Banquo's murder.

It is important because this murder will lead Macbeth and his wife to the throne of Scottland, and therefore to the rest of the play. Also, this is when Malcom and Donalbain fly away and when Banquo starts to have the idea that Macbeth is the murdered, which will lead to his murder.
Lady Macbeth gived drugged vine to the guards, while Macbeth killed the brave King. it was all made at dundinane, the castle of Macbeth where Duncan came in thanks for him winning the battle.
But even if Macbeth agreed to murder his king, inside his heart he felt guilty because the King was a good friend to him. Lady Macbeth will feel guilty also, but later in the play.

Those two events are in relationship with the rebellion formed while Macbeth's tyrant reign.
After being crowned King, Macbeth begans to see in every single person someone who can put an end to his reign, so wants to eliminate the principals ones.
Banquo was starting to suspect that Macbeth got ambitious and killed the king to take his place, while remembering the prophesy told by the weird witches.
And also the reason that he killed Macduff's familly is that he had a very high place inside the rebellion, so he wanted to kill him to destroy a big part of this rebellion. But he wasn't at his house that day, so the murderers only killed his familly.
But even if Macbeth didn't killed Macduff, his victim still suffered much.
And Banquo's murder will continue to haunt it for a long time (as a ghost)

And last, but not least, the final battle is the moment where all is decided and where Macbeth is killed.
The first even in this final battle is that the young Siward fghts with Macbeth but dies.
Angrily, Macduff continues the fight started by the tyrant Macbeth, who became scared of Macduff who is born of a ceasarian, and the witches said that only a not-woman born can kill him. And when Macduff finally wins, the rebellion is very happy and Malcom is crowned King, while no one know that Banquo's heirs shall be king.
This is how the play Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, ends.
